Part-Time Accountant — Xero Certified + BAS Agent
Infinite Books · Fully remote · 20–25 hours per week
About Infinite Books
Infinite Books is a specialist accounting and bookkeeping firm for the healthcare and pharmacy sector. We do more than keep the numbers tidy — we help pharmacy owners and healthcare providers actually understand their business, stay compliant, and make confident decisions.
Our clients trust us because we speak their language. We understand the PBS, the NDIS, and the day-to-day realities of running a healthcare business. That's what sets us apart, and it's why our clients stay with us.
The role
We're looking for a part-time Accountant to join our team — working entirely from home. You'll manage a portfolio of healthcare and pharmacy clients, own their bookkeeping and BAS, and deliver reporting that genuinely helps owners run their business.
This is a true work-from-home role: 20–25 hours a week, with real flexibility in how you shape those hours around your life.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping in Xero for a portfolio of healthcare and pharmacy clients
- Prepare and lodge BAS and other compliance obligations as a registered BAS Agent
- Produce clear, meaningful reporting for owners and clients — not just numbers, but insight (full coaching provided on our reporting approach)
- Reconcile accounts, manage payroll, and keep client files audit-ready
- Build trusted relationships with owners who rely on you to translate the figures
What you'll bring
- Xero certification — Level 3 (Advisor) certified (essential)
- Registered BAS Agent (essential)
- Solid bookkeeping and accounting experience
- A background in healthcare or pharmacy is highly regarded — pharmacy experience isn't essential
- Familiarity with government programs like the PBS or NDIS is a bonus, not a requirement
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine care for getting things right
- Comfortable working autonomously from home
Why join Infinite Books
- Fully remote — work from anywhere, no commute
- Part-time flexibility — 20–25 hours a week, shaped around your life
- A specialist niche where your healthcare knowledge is genuinely valued
- Coaching provided — we'll train you on our reporting and the healthcare/pharmacy specifics, so you don't need to arrive knowing it all
- A supportive, close-knit team that respects your time and expertise
- Meaningful work — you'll help healthcare businesses thrive, not just survive
